Sermon & Scripture 07.18.10Are you good at multitasking - doing more than one thing at a time? Multitasking is all the rage in our 24/7 culture but can it actually be done? Good question. Scientists are studying the brain to see what happens when we try to multitask. The results might surprise you. In our text for the morning, Luke 10:38-42 , Jesus calls Martha out for trying to multitask. He calls her out because she is distracted. She is not fully present to his teaching. Are you distracted by your many tasks? Are you fully present to Christ? Come on Sunday as we unpack The Myth of Multitasking and the call of Christ to be fully present. Summer Choir wants YOU!Do you love to sing, but find that your opportunities are limited to the shower and the car? Well then, come and sing with us! Thursday evenings, from 7-8 p.m., we will meet to learn one piece of music for the following Sunday’s 11:00 a.m. worship service. You do not need to be part of the Chancel Choir to come and sing; a desire to make a joyful noise is all that is required. If you are in town, come and sing! Drawing on God continues in meditation, reflectionThe drawings and paintings on the bulletin board outside Lib’s office are the work of the second day of Drawing on God at St Mark’s.
